A request under the Freedom of Information Act to the Wolverhampton City Council for a list of mainstream primary and secondary schools in the city with facilities for the visually impaired drew the following response:

There are two schools with resource bases for visually impaired (VI) children.

1. Smestow Secondary School
2. Castlecroft Primary School

There are also children with visual impairments in their local schools with support from the Sensory Inclusion Service. We do not have a specialist VI school in Wolverhampton.
