Wigan

A request under the Freedom of Information Act to the Wigan Borough Council for a list of mainstream primary and secondary schools in the borough with facilities for the visually impaired drew the following response:

Wigan Council does not have specific facilities for visually impaired pupils in mainstream schools in the Borough. If a visually impaired pupil wants to attend a mainstream school, we would within reason attempt to make it possible for that child to attend.
