A request under the Freedom of Information Act to Lincolnshire County Council for a list of mainstream primary and secondary schools in the county with facilities for the visually impaired drew the following response:

We do not have any special facilities in any of our schools. There are no Units for the visually impaired or resource bases for the visually impaired as they have in other counties. Most of our mainstream schools will have visually impaired children if they lived in their catchment area and peripatetic teachers will visit them to support them in those schools.
