A request under the Freedom of Information Act to the Cornwall County Council for a list of mainstream primary and secondary schools in the county with facilities for the visually impaired drew the following response:

We have no fixed facilities in ordinary mainstream schools for visually impaired pupils. Equipment is put in on loan for visually impaired pupils from the Vision Support Service of Cornwall County Council dependent upon need and on an ad hoc basis. We are therefore unable to give a list of schools with facilities for visually impaired pupils.
