a better education for visually impaired children

A request under the Freedom of Information Act to Havering Borough Council for a list of mainstream primary and secondary schools in the borough with facilities for the visually impaired drew the following response:

The London Borough of Havering does not have any units for visually impaired children. Our children are usually taught in their local mainstream school where equipment, support and staff training are supplied according to need. School premises are assessed for safety.
