City of London

A request under the Freedom of Information Act to the City of London Corporation for a list of mainstream primary and secondary schools in the area with facilities for the visually impaired drew the following response:

The information you requested under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act is:

To provide you with a list of primary and secondary schools in our Local Authority that have facilities for visually impaired children.

Your request has come to the City of London's Local Education Authority (LEA), one of 33 in London and 150 in the country.

The City has a resident population of under 8,000 and maintains one primary school which is voluntary aided - the Sir John Cass's Foundation Primary School. If you would like the contact details for Sir John Cass's Foundation Primary School please follow this link.

We do not hold the information requested in relation to the voluntary aided school mentioned above.

The other schools located within the City of London are Independent and as such you will need to contact them direct for details regarding facilities for visually impaired children. As they are by definition independent of the LEA.

We do not hold the information requested in relation to the independent education sector. Please note that the independent education sector is outside the scope of the FOIA.

If you would like contact details of these independent schools please follow this link
